William C. Puckett, Private, Company I, 5th Regiment South Carolina Reserves (90 Days, 1862-3.), age 43 yrs 3-1/5 mo., enlisted November 10, 1862 at Summervill by Capt. J. W. Hearst for 90 days, recorded as 3rd Corporal on the December 31, 1862 muster roll, died January 1, 1863 at camp hospital, Camp Adams Run, South Carolina, his widow M. E. A. Puckett filed claim for his pay, allowances and effects June 10, 1863, no further records

Company I was stationed at Camp Jacksonboro, S. C. on December 4, 1862, Camp Griffin on December 31, 1862 and February 15, 1863

The Regimental Field & Staff was located at Jacksonboro, S. C. on December 31, 1862
