Some -- and I emphasize some -- of the Confederate dead at Sharpsburg were disinterred from where they were buried on the field, and were reburied about 1867 in a Confederate section at Rose Hill Cemetery, Hagerstown. But I do not know if any of those killed in front of Harper's Ferry were similarly treated. There is a substantial Confederate Cemetery in Frederick, but my imporession is that it was for Confederates who died in hospitals there after Sharpsburg, and from the battle of Monocacy in July 1864.
