Well T. F. the war was NOT about slavery. As a matter of fact, Lincoln only freed the slaves in the "rebelling areas" and not those of loyal slaveowners. The slaves were not freed by the Emancipation Proclamation but freed by the 13th Amendment.

Ever wonder how many slaveowners fought for the Union??? I have asked several times , got no answer.
