To post a comment on this website a person must receive a verification email. I have waited some 15 minutes and have not received this such an email. That being the case I took the website survey, this was the last question asked---

31: If you could identify one improvement to the website, what would that improvement be?

My answer my not be exact I didn't copy it-- I would not expect the Smithsonian to post such an article that is nothing more than another Confederate bashing piece of trash. The statements in this article presented as historical facts are nothing more than lies and can be proven as such using actual historical documents of the period. I would expect better out of the Smithsonian, an institution that is supposed to represent all, not just the ignorant and bigoted Confederate haters.
