Re: George W. Williams followup

I don't recall if I told you, but two of my ancestors who were born in Simpson County served in Texas units during the war. One of them died of wounds from the Battle of Jenkins Ferry and he is buried in Princeton, AR. His older brother enlisted, then hired a substitute. He served in the Texas State Troops. Anyway, their births give me a timeline on when the Durdins lived in Simpson County. One of 10 children was born there on February 15, 1827 and another child was born there on June 20, 1839. That is the year the family moved to Jasper County, Texas.
