Sherman marches again

In May 1906 Gen. T. Sherman's son, Thomas Sherman, announced he would re-march his father's invasion of Georgia from Chattaooga escorted by U. S. Cavalry from Fort Oglethorpe. When Georgia representatives called for the State to resist this stunt with armed force, Sherman turned around before crossing into Georgia and the U.S. troopers went back to Oglethorpe.
