John J. Nuttall/Nuttan, Private, 2nd Company B, 26th Virginia Infantry, enlisted December 29, 1861 at Gloucster Point by Capt. Fitzhugh, re-enlisted for the war February 21, 1862, age 18, recorded June 20, 1862 as detached in Nelsons Battery sub for Dr. Frazier, captured June 15, 1864 at Petersburg, Va., sent to Fort Monroe, Va. thence to Point Lookout, Md. June 18, transferred to Elmira, N. Y. July 9, transferred to James River for exchange March 10, 1865, no further records
