Mike...Thanks for the wonderful colorization of the Civil War Photos, both the Yankee and Confederate soldiers.. What an excellent job. Well Done. The Civil War seems to me, to be the most remembered war over the last several hundred years. WWII is well remembered, and WWI less often remembered, the War of 1812 is very seldom mentioned and many of the Revolutionary War Solders are only remembered when someone is doing genealogy research.

The veterans that engaged in each of the great wars in which the United States was engaged should be remembered by all of our citizens. American History classes beginning with Elementary School and extending through College degrees should be taught at each and every level.

If history is not taught, it tends to be forgotten. Too much blood and suffering by our Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, Airmen and Coast Guardsmen has been shed and pain endured for all of the American Citizens not to remember why America is still one of the greatest countries on the face of the globe.

America's world leadership was not exhibited by a couple of our presidents over the past one hundred years, but for one, I certainly hope our world leadership will once again be exhibited.

I raised by right hand almost seventy-one years ago and swore to protect and defend the United States of America, and I still feel as obligated to that oath as I did on 1945, as do most veterans, and I am almost in my ninth decade of life and hope and pray that I young men and women are as ready to defend the United States of America as was 'The Greatest Generation" if it becomes necessary.
