January 31, 1901- "The Uprising of the Snake Band of Creek Indians Still Continues Threatening" Muskogee I. T., "Statement From Gen. Lee", "No Troops Have Yet Been Ordered to Move From Fort Reno". Omaha, Neb., Jan. 26. -Gen. Fitzhugh Lee stated at noon Friday, that no orders had been issued for the movement of a troop of cavalry from Fort Reno, and that none would be unless it should develop that one troop was unable to suppress the outbreak. Six troops of cavalry and several companies of infantry are available from posts in the southern district of this department. He had not yet heard from Lieut. Dixon.
