How do you know??

In Alamance, North Carolina they had a rally to save a monument.

The result?

Over 2,000 Southerners attended and the county board voted unanimously not to remove the monument even though the NAACP was screaming "Do it, Do it!"

Then sometime later the state government passed a law forbidding the removal or relocation of ANY monument or memorial without the official approval of the state legislature.

I would say that this got something done.
