Michael, If you are referring to a son of Moses Triplett the answer is no.

If you're referring to a son of Confederate Veteran in general I don't know but none are still alive receiving a pension and the same would be true of any son of Union Veterans none are currently receiving a pension.

As David alluded to it is rather ironic that the last person receiving a Civil War pension according to the government belongs to a child whose father had been a galvanized Yankee.

Had Moses Triplett been present for duty with the 26th North Carolina State Troops at Gettysburg Irene may not have been around today? The 26th North Carolina suffered the most casualties of a regiment at the Battle of Gettysburg and this would include Union regiments.

Up until just a few years ago there were five or six children receiving pensions from their fathers service but Irene Triplett is the last one still living and receiving a pension. When she dies I'm sure it will make the news.
