No, no, never...

A white Confederate would never call a black servant a soldier.
Never ever!

Just a few examples from Tennessee Colored Confederate Veteran Pension Applications by Pat Spurlock:

Isaac T. Frasier and N. B. Williams, witnesses for Clay Hickerson, 24th TN Infantry-
"I know that Clay Hickerson was in the Confederate Army as is stated in his application, and was a faithful servant and soldier."
p.85

S. A. Pepper, witness for Dick Spann (known as R. H. Bradley after the war), 29th MS Infantry-
"He came into the army through his master Harper Spann, and served continuously throughout the war as a cook and servant....He was a faithful soldier and was never guilty of unbecoming conduct, in fact his record was excellent."
p.112

W. E. Easley and J. J. Craig, witnesses for George Anderson, Biffles' TN Cavalry-
"George Anderson (col) went into Confederate army with his master D. R. Anderson, Sr., and drove wagon team & tanned leather for Confederates....Uncle George served until close of war and made good soldier."
p.254
