Several years ago I located the area of this motar position. I have a better copy. In the back ground the Pensacola light house can be seen. The barrel of the mortar is sighted on the NW bastion of Fort Pickens. The area is located on an old sand service road between the Light House and the US Navy Officers Club....near the club's parking lot. This part of shore line is a natural sand bluff...some evidence of defenses can be found.

Your have to have access to the Naval Base to visit.
