Glenn, I looked on Fold 3, but only found 2 pages of service records. That must be what you have seen. There is mention of his horse being valued at $240 (must have been a really good horse) and horse equipment at $40.00. You know that he almost certainly remained in some home guard unit for the duration. You might have to go to the state archives. Here is a little more info. you probably have already.
