50th in 1938. Would have to be this one. Meaning he was born in the mid-1840's ? Doesn't mean he was at Gettysburg during the battle. Just that he decided or was invited to attend. If he was a body servant for Joe Shelby or John Marmaduke he was in the Trans-Mississsippi dept. (Missouri, Arkansas, Texas etc.) Your ears are probably a lot younger than mine ! Can you tell if he calls himself "Marmaduke." or if he's saying he was a "bodyguard for Marmaduke and Joe Shelby ?"
