Hello Edward, I agree with your assessments. Henry Wirz himself had been a homeopathic doctor prior to the war or at least had training in this field. Doctor White I believe was responsible for the low deaths due to small-pox at Andersonville and his hospital was a few miles from the Andersonville Prison.

In talking with Mr. Hugh Simmons he thought the Pest House at Fort Delaware was located at the northern end of Pea Patch Island.

After quickly scanning the reason 4 death at Chase it may have only seemed like I had typed the words small-pox 500 times. It would appear the percentage of deaths are going to be more in line with Fort Delaware at about 20%.

I'll have the final number when I start counting the over 2,100 reasons for death on my biographies.
