Re: Poarch Creek Indians S-SW Alabama

These brothers were probably listed Mulatto or maybe even Black. The name sounds as though they may have been Melungeon. William Henry (Henry is on his headstone) drew a pension following the war.

Enlisted on 9/14/1861 at Watauga County, NC as a Private.

On 11/20/1861 he mustered into "B" Co. NC 37th Infantry

He was listed as:

* Confined 4/3/1865 Point Lookout, MD (Estimated day)
* Oath of Allegiance 6/10/1865 Point Lookout, MD
