Jesse J. Williams, Private, Captain William A. Duke’s Company, 32nd Regiment North Carolina Infantry (State Troops),* enlisted May 31, 1861 at Camden C. H. by Wm. A. Duke for 12 months, captured August 29, 1861 at Hatrass, N. C., received at Fort Warren, Mass. November 1, released on parole for exchange February 3, 1862 and transferred to Fort Monroe, Va., mustered out April 2, 1862 at Camden C. House

* This company was also known s (1st) Company I, 32nd Regiment North Carolina (State Troops)

Note, his POW cards show his unit affiliation as Jonesboro Guards, North Carolina Volunteers. No age recorded
