Hello and thanks Herb, It's been said the best things in life are free. I intend to publish the work on the OhioSCVcampchase site and it will be free to all concerned.

The long biographies of course will take longer as they cover the man's birth to death and in some cases post death. The site will be aimed at information for each tombstone at Camp Chase. That is to say if you had one of those modern phones you could stop at any given tombstone and read the man's biography from the internet while standing if front of the tombstone.

In this way I can honestly pay tribute to those who died at Chase. Of course you don't have to be at Chase to read the biographies. Some of the information will contain the man's age, his correct unit, his enlistment date and capture date and who his parents and or wife was and children and if he owned slaves as an example and what he died of etc. About 20% of the Camp Chase tombstones are incorrect in one way or the other. West Virginia Confederate soldiers will also be noted and I do understand that Virginia considered them as Virginia troops in which they were. But in this way I can return some West Virginia history. She was in many ways the Child of the Rebellion.

Although I am a proud member of the SCV I do not care what the color of the uniform was or skin or nationality if a man has a tombstone at Chase he deserves to have his story told in an honest documented way. The book if we want to call it that will be in excess of 25 chapters. Additional chapters are planned for those who died at Chase and do not have a tombstone. Look for the short version of the bio's starting sometime in early Spring on the above website as noted.
