I found this photo very ironic. It is one photo of many that show the construction of a World War II battleship. To the far left is the hull of an old, tired white-fleet battleship, the USS Kearsarge, BB-5, at this time, converted to a heavy crane ship...and being used to help build the brand new battleship the USS Alabama, BB-60.

Here, nearly 80 years after the destruction of the CSS Alabama by the USS Kearsarge we see the rebirth of a warship Alabama with the help of an old ex-warship, the Kearsarge.
