Pam, sorry for the late reply. You should read that book. One of the newest (2001) and most detailed accounts of the action leading up to, including, and the aftermath of Gettysburg. I'll buy you a copy and send it to you if you like. I think it is one of the best contemporary accounts of the battle. And it is purely looking at the Southern side. In great detail. While including movements and strategy by the Federals, it is by no means Pfanz's books. This is a Southern "Lee/ANV analysis and conclusions drawn from that. I think you would enjoy it. I read it about 4 times and keep it handy for reference. The first two times were re-reading each chapter after I had thrown it across the room. Hahaha.
