Maybe he would have been ok with that. It creeps me out. I'm reminded of the journey of the head of Joaquin Murrieta. That was just a sick way for some to make money. Osceola is another. After the Dr at Ft Moultrie removed his head, he kept it pickled. He said at the time it was to keep Osceola's body from being paraded around and disrespected. Doesn't matter what he said, I think had he really meant to respect him, he'd have buried it or done what the tribal custom was on final remains. Billy Powell deserved much better. Even Geronimo got a better deal from the US.
