Re: Pledge of Allegiance

James,

Have you ever read the simple oath of the President of the United States of America?

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.

Perhaps you could write your nearest Union leader or corrupt Chicago politician, as these people have far more of a voice than any average citizen with the current regime and ask them to insert your view of his real responsibilities "My country, right or wrong. May she always be right; but right or wrong, my country."

By the way here's how you say this phrase in German "Mein Land, richtig oder falsch. Möge sie immer Recht, aber richtig oder falsch, mein Land." I'm sure there are similar phrases in Korean and Farsi. In fact, I'm sure every totalitarian state has a similar saying.

Finally, I find it utterly hypocritical for you to claim that others are name-calling, not gentlemen or gentlewomen or hysterical in their views.

I stand by my original statement and yes, my country is not a parcel of land or a mountain or a building, it is an idea and an ideal. I believe the American dream is entirely portable and I would have no problem following the Constitution and it's principles to any country that observes them, if the location where I'm living no longer observes them. I however, if possible would fight to keep or restore them in America first.

Regarding, the election results, I live in Texas and like most "red staters" we did NOT vote for this extremist. extreme left-wing government. I believe, or should I say I pray, that this country will come to its senses this November. If it does not and should my family and our future be endangered, as I believe it already is, I would advocate and support dramatic political change.

I believe my views are exactly in alignment with the majority of the founding fathers and the "original" principle of our Constitution.

Jim
