I do love to watch the Tall Ships. What a majestic picture they make. The life of the mariners wasn't easy and one had to have salt water in their blood to do it, unless they were Shanghied. My dream vacation, and probably the one on my bucket list that won't happen is a Windjammer cruise to St Thomas to see the house my Daddy was born in. My Grandmother sort of fibbed to the Navy so she was allowed to join my Grandfather when he was stationed there during the transfer of what is now the US Virgin Islands. My Daddy showed up a month after the transfer. The house he was born in, but was delivered by a Navy Doctor is still there by the Government Complex. It has become part of that complex my Son in Law found out when he was there a few years ago and he took photo's for me.
