Unfortunately I do not get the history channel Joe but do have the excellent book,"To Die in Chicago." A GGGF,one of the Soldiers of Johnson's Texas Spy Company captured at Arkansas Post caught a fever there that killed him along with many in his unit. Quite a few of the prisoners also died while being transported up the Mississippi including Captain Johnson a Texas Revolution veteran. The prisoners were kept exposed on deck of the cattle boats during several days of sever ice and snow storms...It is my one great regret that I have not had the luxury to make a special visit to the Windy City. I should have thuroughly enjoyed finding some public restroom and leaving the place a delightfull momento of my visit.
