This History Sites web site is a great thing, and is a great vehicle to gather and post info. I have many hours behind me looking thru the States, Flags, and Weapons/equipment BB's, and sharing info with folk.
Unfortunately the Civil War News and Views has been hijacked by Southern Heritage folk to the point that discussions have little to do with 1861-1865 period, and too much to do with modern-day Heritage issues...Flags, Rock Bands, modern Secession ideals...It would be great to get back into discussing the actual events leading up to, and including the WBTS.
I think it is apparent that a modern day views BB could be added, the number of views posted dealing with the subject would certainly make a site justified. The real problem would be how to police it, and set parameters on what is to be posted.
Any ideas?
