You see that is the problem and it is not the parents fault like everybody trys to make it out to be. The lack of parent involvement began when the local school control was taken out of the hands of the local community and given to "people" who supposedly "know" best how to run a school. Weeellll, the "professional experts" have been running the schools for decades now and we have what we have.

The Schools are like the present day two party political system the little man has no input unless he follows the "Experts". If you don't agree with the teachers union, or the other side, the superintendant or school board the other you have no voice. And then you have the State or the fedes telling them what to do.

But, all of them will scream, 'well its the Parents fault', because they won't get involved. But on the other hand where the parents have taken back control to some degree of their community schools the schools have grown.
