David, I believe in about everything Ron Paul has to say: in particular his strict interpretation of our Constitution. I dare say he is about the only member of Congress whose voting record on legislation of every type exactly mirrors what is permissable in the Constitution.

Regrettably, his oratorical skills, or rather lack thereof, completely offset his potential to be a Congressman of stature. No one listens to him because when he speaks, he often comes completely unglued, frequently turns emotional and what he has to say becomes so ill-organized as to render his message unintelligible.

If his oratory were of the same caliber as his writing abilities, last years election might have turned out differently. Sad to say, his "handlers" last year, that is if he had any, seemed reluctant to tell him this sorry truth. He needs to learn better public speaking skills, including everything from facial expressions, to arem gestures, to (most importantly) organization of what he has to say - all of which, were it to be cloaked in a strict Constitutional framework would make him a winner.

He was so pathetic during last years debates, I actually got in touch with two or three people who I know support him (people who post on Lew Rockwell.com, as Dr. Paul does), and one or two of them admitted to me I wsa right on the speaking "thing."
