Re: Lost Cause?

Exactly. The proper legal remedy in my opinion, would be for the States to challenge in the courts every imposition that the Federal Government makes which are even thought to be unconstitutional.

We are not bound by law to obey any law which we believe to be unconstitutional. This again goes back to a state soverngity issue. Which in my opinion was "The Cause" of the War for Southern Independence. But, It is no less valid an issue today.

That is the reason that I contend that the "Lost Cause" was never really "lost". It is like the Heller Vs the City of Washington DC over the 2nd Amendment. We have to become more proactive in accerting, nay demanding our rights, under the legal system.

But I am probably classified by our Government as a radical right wing extremist for having such ideas. That the powers of our federal Government should not be limitless and unfettered. Specifically the "rejection of federal authority in favor of State and local authority" IS an extremist concept, because our Forefathers thought it up and put it on paper when they rejected the authority of the King of England.

So now I am a radical, an enemy of the State, my government, my Sherrif and Police Department are told to watch me, because I am an originalist in my concept of the Constitution and how Government should be, as my forefathers were who fought this idea once during the American Revolution and then again during the War for Southern Independence. All I can say is I guess I am in good company walking in the footstep of those men.
