36th Mississippi, Co. G. Lt. George W. Rea, age 25, (mw) December 2, 1864 at Nashville. He died of his wounds in a Confederate Hospital in Mobile, Alabama on
February 20, 1865. His remains were taken home by his family after the war and he was reburied in the City Cemetery, Hazlehurst, Copiah County, Mississippi.

There is a mention of his actions in George Powell Clarke's "Reminiscences and Anecdotes of the War for Southern Independence, page 250 -251. He was Sgt. Co. C. 36th Miss. Inf. A great publication on this brave regiment. Tim
