Forrest Reinternment Info

App 2,000 have been ordered tickets for this event. The registration ends on Aug 31st, and if you don't have a ticket, you will not be able to enter the grounds. The below is from the official website and I will post the link at the bottom.

Day 1
Elm Springs in Columbia, Tennessee
September 17, 2021 - Visitation -
9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Bodies arrive at 8:00 AM - SCV Mech Cavalry will line the front gravel road in front of Elm Springs to receive the remains and place them in state in the Parlor. There will be a small procession to receive the remains. Elm Springs is a two-story brick house built in 1837 in the Greek Revival style. It is located just outside Columbia, Tennessee, United States. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986 and has served as the headquarters for the Sons of Confederate Veterans since 1992. Spectators will be allowed to pay respects to the General and his wife. No pictures are allowed.

Day 2
Funeral at Elm Springs
September 18, 2021 - 10:00 AM
Spectators will be allowed to observe the funeral. No pictures will be taken during the ceremony. Parking on the grounds is limited, and suggested one carpool. Gates will be closed during the ceremony and will not reopen till after the ceremony has finished in order to maintain an air of silence and respect. It is suggested that you bring a lawn chair and arrive early. Gates will open at 7:00 AM. Grounds will be closed by 5:00 PM.
I had hoped to live stream Saturday's ceremony for this event, but it looks like it will not be permitted.
