Perhaps I should have mentioned the tie in to Andrew J.Rembert, mentioned above. He was the brother of my great grandmother Sarah Elizabeth (Bettie) Rembert Rea, wife of J. S. Rea of Wesson. She had another brother, Edwin Rembert of the 4th MS Calvary. That is where my name comes down from. Her family were French and came to SC in the late 1600's and later to MS.
