If I could have asked those boys from the "Dirty-First" one question it would be, "Was the skeleton intact or scattered about?" They said "his skeleton was picked up" which makes it sound like the thing was just laying there like road-kill that had rotted away. If poor Douglas really had been eaten (which is likely) he would have been slaughtered and the bones scattered or thrown onto piles of mule, horse and beef bones.

We need more answers! We need Agatha Christi, Father Brown or NCIS!

That's a nice piece from the 1859 newspaper!
