George, thanks for the reply. Was up at Gettysburg a couple of weeks ago at the 11th MS monument along Cemetery Ridge. I've looked at my various Gettysburg map books but they only show the position of the regiment not the various companies. Could the position of Company D be mentioned in any of the 11th MS regimental histories, assuming these exist?
