The above is my g-great grandfather. Can anyone verify if he served in the 16th Inf. Regiment,in the Union Army? I don't believe he was as he would have been 62-64 when the war began. He had 2 sons who served in the 33rd Mississippi Regt. CSA . Thanks for any help.
