Although this has nothing to do with the WBTS it is worth mentioning in my opinion.

William Phillip King was noted as the youngest to die at the Alamo on March 6, 1836 at age sixteen.

He was born in Monroe County, Mississippi although technically Monroe County, Mississippi was not created until 1821.
