Looking for kinfoke Brown's in the civil War , wanting info. from Morgan Co. TN . James R. And his son William T. .James was born in Athens, McMinn Co. TN. 10 April 1819. Died 18May 1897 Morgan Co. TN. Killed by wild Hogs . Wife Louisa Eliza JC Dawn 1831-1905 . William oldest of the children was Born 29 July1848 died in Bell Co. TX 21 Aug. 1911 married Elizabeth J. Hamby B.1843- D. 1912 Bell Co TX. I found info. on Ancestry .Com and Fold3 on both , I think it is them. James R. Brown co A. TN Teamster But date that he died is not right. William Taylor Brown Found with Co. I. 39 Miss. Regiment Miss. Vol in March of 62 could be him ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Trying to fine hopeful Confederate ties , But I understand that part of TN was some what Union , don't know.
