I was searching newspapers for Rockwood hoping to find a mention of his Confederate service or his whereabouts 1860. No luck so far, but found a few general interest items that probably will not even interest you, but it only took a second to make a note of them, and I give you right of first refusal. The mention on the front page of the Memphis paper of him being very sick, with a whole page of epidemic news is particularly touching. Also, were you aware that he once apparently was a partner in a hardware store in Vicksburg? See top of large ad in a Louisiana paper mentioning his name and at bottom of ad notes Vicksburg.
