Henry Ferguson was a servant in the Confederate Army and stayed with them until their last days. His Confederate pension application can be found on Mississippi veterans pensions on page 160. He writes about what he did and mentions his masters name as Dick Scott. Henry took care of the horses and cooked and foraged for food when they had none.
