While doing the Chase biographies I noticed something that may or may not be of help to fellow researchers.
Private Samuel Johnson Mullen had been a private in Company A of the 44th Mississippi Infantry and was from Columbus, Mississippi.
Within the same household was listed E. M. Mullen whose occupation was noted as a photographist.
While this occupation is not unheard of it is rather rare on a 1860 United States census as an occupation.
If any photographs of Company A of the 44th Mississippi exist, while it's a stretch, E. M. Mullen may have had a hand in it.
