Ron , I have a list of soldiers who enlisted in 1st La . Cavalry (Union ) that listed their home town as Augusta , Miss. I have gotten away some what on my research of this raid . I got side track on hunting down serial # on weapons assigned to Union troopers on this raid , for as the Confederates I track down one cavalry sabre , which was used by 15 th Confederate cav. I guess I will dig in the archives for this one Also I have the book by Watts.
