John G Strong grew up in the Crystal Springs, Copiah County, Mississippi, Married in about 1850, enlisted in the Confederate Army. His wife died either before or during the Civil War. He survived the War and disappeared for Fifteen or Twenty years. Showed up again in about 1880s. The Phrase "After he came back" is repeated several times in his very limited "Stuff". For instance, "After he came back he married the widow xxx." (The widow was my Step - Great Grand Mother.) No one tells where he went,
