Almost the entire Chickasaw Bayou Battle is under water,
except for a small strip along the Rail Road and United States Highway # 61, Business Route today,
which in 1863 was a part of the Confederate Line of Defense.
And, also, the Indian Mound is out of Water, the so called Indian Mound was the Center of the Line of Confederate Defense.
