Family History tells us that our Ancestor, Austin Mattingly, Vicksburg Business Man,
was (the / a / or whatever) Quarter Master in Vicksburg before and during the Siege of 1863.
I cannot find him.
May have been a Confederate Government Official and not in Confederate State Army.
Do not know.
