Chickasaw Battle Field
We have a different situtation at the Chickasaw Battlefield
There is nothing out there.
It is today, almost the same as it was in 1862 - 1863.
The only different is the Drainage has been changed slightly.
The Land is very flat and is today, murch as it was in 1862 - 1863,
The higher land is excellent farm land and much of the balance is low overflow woodland.
The only improvement that I am aware is One Mississippi Department of Archives
Historic Marker, which it may be argured, is in the wrong spot.
The Marker is on the edge of Business United States # 61 North and is Second Bench.
(Explanation - First Bench floods, Second Bench does not flood.'
