W. Gyram, 37 Ala Inf, Co. K

W. Gyram died 30 May 1863 during the siege of Vicksburg. He has a grave marker in Soldiers' Rest.

His name has everyone stumped.

Is it a sound-alike (like Buswar / Bourgeois)? or a bad mistake in spelling?

I would appreciate your opinion.

Would you please look at what I have found so far at

Thanks. /anna
