Vciksburg Southrons; Company Insptcted
Lieutentant R R Pickering last night inspectged the Re - Organized Volunteer Southrons, there are 65 men in the new Ornagized Company. Vicksburg Evening Post, November 15th, 1915.
Volunteer Southrons were organized long before the War Between the States,
Went to Virginia early, stayed for the durations, and returned to vicksburg
As soon as possible were re - organized and continued until the National Guard was organized and One would assume they are still in operation under a National Guard Designation.
