Hillsboro or perhaps Hillsbrough. Not sure of Speilling or County in 1864.
Does any one have information on that D.... Ole Sherman destroying the Town of Hillsboro in the Meridian Campaign in early 1864?
My Informaton. Hillsboro was the County Seat of Scott County before the War.
The location (Northward from I - 20 at Morton) between Forkville and Lena.
The Site is marked by only a Methodist Church constructed about`1870 - 1900.
When County Seat was rebuilt (After the War) it was moved to Forest and the Rail Road.
