Dear Mr. Crook
As you know, the Steam Boat Robert E Lee, said to be the Fastest and Finest on the Lower Missisisppi River Burned at Yucatan Plantation in the 1880s.
The Chandiliers were suposedly salvaged and ended up in the Presbyterian Chruch at Port Gibson, Missisisppi.
The Stair Ways ended up at Windsor Plantation and after WIndsor burned were moved to Alcorn State Univeristy where they continue to serve. Windsor burned in the 1890s I think.
The Missisisppi River has been very migatory in that area over the years.
Do you know the Locaton of the Steam Boat Landing at Yucatan Platation??????
The people killed in the distaster were buried in a small Cemetery at Yucatan Plantation Landing.
I know the loation of Yucatan Island, Yucatan Lake and many other places in the area, but do not think i know the locaton of the Steam Boat Landing.
Do You????????????
