William Hamilton Renick Jr is listed as being born in 1815 on the Madison County Alabama Census. His family moved to Hardeman County Tennessee and he and his father moved to Shelby County Tennessee and both are on the Shelby County TN Tax list for 1836 and 1837. William H. Renick Jr went to Ponisett County Arkansas around 1840. He later moved to Cooke Co Texas and lived near his Uncle George Titus. William H. Renick Jr died in Cooke Co TX in 1868. His father was William Hamilton Renick Sr of Greenbrier Co. WVA. He was born about 1775 and died in Shelby County Tennessee in 1848. William H. Renick Sr. was in the 1st TN Vol of Mounted Spies under Col. Robert H. Dyer and was at the Battle of New Orleans. His Captain was Robert Evans. This unit was the advance guard for Andrew Jackson. The Alabama Census has William H. Renick Jr birth year as 1815 but the Texas Census has his birth year as 1807. I have no idea if William Jr was in the Civil War. Regards, Keith
